The Joint Safety Climate Assessment Survey (JSCAS) is the newest component of the ECM total risk management solution configured for the Department of Defense as the Combined Mishap Reduction (CMR) system. This tool will assist commanders throughout all divisions of Defense to understand safety-related climate in order to substantially reduce preventable mishaps, especially injury, illness, and fatality. Substantial effort has been applied to ensure that JSCAS integrates with other DoD efforts such as DOD-HFACS and DSES.
Combined Mishap Reduction (CMR) is a comprehensive intranet/internet risk management solution that emphasizes accountability throughout every level of a command, unit, batallion, squadron, etc.
CMR consists of three main applications to help you evaluate, assess and manage total risk management, aimed at avoiding preventable fatalities and other mishaps.
